Personal Injury, Product Liability & Consumer Class Action Over the course of a litigation career spanning more than four decades, I have handled matters ranging from catastrophic aviation and transportation accidents to pharmaceutical products liability, consumer class actions, and legal malpractice. My experience includes some of the most significant mass tort and catastrophic injury litigation of its time, as well as the representation of thousands of individuals in pharmaceutical withdrawal claims. Represented clients in litigation arising from major commercial aviation accidents, including: United Airlines Flight 232 — Sioux City, Iowa Delta Air Lines Flight 1141 — Dallas, Texas Northwest Airlines Flight 255 — Romulus, Michigan School Bus and Transportation Accident Litigation: Represented clients in litigation arising from major school bus and transportation accidents, including: The Carrollton School Bus Crash, one of the deadliest bus crashes in U.S. history. The litigation was subsequently featured in James Kunen's book, Reckless Disregard: Corporate Greed, Government Indifference, and the Kentucky School Bus Crash. The 1991 Palm Springs Girl Scouts Bus Crash, a tragic accident involving a bus carrying Girl Scouts and their leaders. Class Action Litigation: Handled and supervised numerous class actions involving banking practices and alleged improper fee charging, including matters involving large numbers of consumers. Pharmaceutical Products Liability: Oversaw extensive pharmaceutical products liability litigation involving some of the nation's largest pharmaceutical companies, including: Eli Lilly — Prozac Pfizer — Zoloft GlaxoSmithKline — Paxil These matters involved claims arising from serious personal injuries and wrongful death. I also handled thousands of cases involving individuals who experienced adverse effects associated with Paxil withdrawal, giving me extensive experience with pharmaceutical litigation involving both individual and mass claims.
